Getting Medicines Right for patients with Parkinson’s Disease

If you have Parkinson’s Disease, please let a member of staff know about your condition, that you need to have your medication at specific times, and what these times are. If you have a medication booklet or other information about your medicines, please bring this into hospital with you and show a member of staff when asked about your medicines.

Throughout October 2019, the Trust is running a campaign to raise awareness about the importance of Getting Medicines Right for patients with Parkinson’s Disease, to help you get your medication on time, every time.

If you wish to take your medication yourself, rather than a member of staff give your medicines to you for you to take, please ask a member of staff about our “self-administration of medicines” scheme. Providing it is safe to do so, we aim help you to take your own medicines whilst in hospital.

More information about going into hospital, is available on the Parkinson’s UK website.

Thank you for helping us to Get Your Medicines Right
