Phlebotomy (Blood Tests)
A phlebotomy service is available for both in-patients and out-patients at North Devon Hospital. The phlebotomy service is managed by the Outpatient’s Department and can be found in Outpatients A, near to the lifts, at the far end of the main hospital entrance, on Level 2.Contact number for the phlebotomy room is 01271-322343 (Ext: 2343)Out-patient Clinic opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 am – 4:50 pm (last admission).Ward rounds start at 8:00 am Monday to Friday. On Saturdays and Bank Holidays the ward service operates from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm for main building inpatients only. Ward-based request forms should be completed and put out by 8:00 am so that samples can be taken by the phlebotomy team on their early morning rounds. Last updated: January 12, 2022
