What do you do for the Trust?
I work in the finance department as an accounts assistant. I got this job after doing Project SEARCH, I got great feedback from the department, that’s why I got the job!
Project SEARCH is a scheme that gives young people aged 18-24 with learning disabilities or autism the opportunity to gain real work experience at NDDH.
What makes you proud of your work?
Being more responsible and doing what I’ve got to do in the job. I’m learning new things now and I know I can always ask for help when I need it.
What was your highlight of 2018?
It’s got to be being interviewed on BBC Spotlight – they did a story about the success of Project SEARCH and they asked me about my work and being part of the team.
Top tip for a great Christmas?
For everyone to be happy and to enjoy yourselves with your loved ones. Let’s see what 2019 brings us!
