Background and Experience

Adrian trained originally as a GP before spending 22 years as a consultant Emergency Physician, including directing  the Emergency Departments of Northern Devon Healthcare Trust, Yeovil District Hospital and the Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust.  He is an Honorary Associate Professor in Healthcare Leadership and Management at the University of Exeter Medical School.  He has been Executive Medical Director at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust since April 2015 and under a collaborative agreement joined the Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust as Interim Medical Director in June 2018 and became Medical Director in December 2018.
