Perform an elaborate activity!

Doing something elaborate that uses the tactical capability of your mind, like solving a puzzle, or finding an elaborate recipe to cook, will take your mind off more worrying things and help you focus on immediate tasks!
Don’t attach a sense of urgency in completing it, just focus on the process.

You will also be left with a refreshing sense of achievement when you do get around to completing the task, no matter how its turned out!
