We have begun offering first doses to younger age groups and other eligible patients at the Leisure Centre.
If you’re aged 21 or over, or if you turn 21 before 1 July 2021, you can now book your Covid-19 vaccine.
Covid-19 vaccinations can now be booked at the North Devon Leisure Centre in Barnstaple using the National Booking Service, with new sessions being added regularly.
Please make sure to complete the booking process fully – you should have a booking reference number that you will be asked to provide at the Leisure Centre. If you do not have a number, you may not have successfully booked a slot, and the team might not be able to vaccinate you.
Andrea Bell, deputy chief nurse at Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust, said: “We’re delighted to be vaccinating the next eligible age groups at the Leisure Centre in Barnstaple, and supporting our community in Northern Devon to get the best available protection from coronavirus.
“Our team have delivered thousands of vaccinations at North Devon District Hospital, and now those clinics have come to an end, we are excited to be up and running at the Leisure Centre. We look forward to seeing you.”
GPs in North Devon originally established the vaccination centre and will remain at the leisure centre until they have given second doses to people who they have vaccinated as part of Phase one of the programme rollout. This covered people aged 50 and over, those in at-risk groups and frontline health and care workers.

People arriving for vaccinations in Lynton are being advised that the nearest car park for the town hall is Cross Street car park.
Appointment slots will be regularly released for forthcoming clinics at all three sites in the area and can be booked on National Booking Service website or by calling 119.
People who are 21 and above or in another eligible groups can use the service.
