Feedback from our patients is really important. It helps us understand what we are doing really well and also highlights where we could be doing better.
You said: Our library volunteers visit the inpatient wards at NDDH with a trolley of books and magazines for patients to borrow. Our volunteers fed back that patients were asking for more paperback large print books.
We did: We purchased 30 new paperback large print books and will be ordering 30 more next month. These are available both on the trolley and in the library. The League of Friends of Barnstaple Hospital kindly agreed to fund this purchase with a donation of £1,000.
All the feedback we receive through our inpatient surveys and Friends and Family Test is fed back to our teams. This helps us learn from what we are doing well and where we need to improve.
