Bears and fishYou might have heard that there is an increased risk of heart disease if you have diabetes. World Heart Day is next week so what better time to see if there are any tweaks to your lifestyle you could make so your heart does not skip a beat!

Here is a useful factsheet on heart healthy foods. The main focus for heart health is a Mediterranean diet. It sounds fancy pants but it is a way of explaining how much of which foods to have. That means you don’t have to eat pasta, tomato or olives if they’re not you’re thing! It’s aiming to have a diet rich in vegetables, wholegrains and also to include lean protein and healthy fats, like those found in oily fish.
