We are looking at a number of ways in which technology can be used across our departments to improve the care and experience of our patients.
This week we have started a three month pilot of a self check in kiosk in the therapy department on level 1 at NDDH.
If you have an appointment in the therapy department and have been asked to report to the therapy reception desk on level 1 at NDDH, you now have the option to self check in.
Rather than waiting to check in with our reception staff you can now use a simple, easy touch screen kiosk to let our clinicians know you have arrived for your appointment. The kiosk may also ask you to confirm your contact details to ensure we can keep in touch with you about your appointments.
Volunteers will be in the department to help patients use the kiosk for the first week of the pilot and after that our reception staff will be able to assist. You are welcome to continue to check in with the reception staff if you so wish.
