New quiet room for doctors at NDHT

We have officially opened our new quiet room for mess members at North Devon District Hospital, following a refurbishment project.

The quiet room is a welcoming, relaxing space where mess members, who are mostly doctors, can unwind and de-stress.

Space to sit, chat, watch TV, use a computer

Space to chat with colleagues, read magazines and newspapers. Soft furnishings and plants help to create a relaxing atmosphere.

Emily Gray, junior doctor and mess president, said: “I am so proud of the hard work the doctors have put into this project over the past two years. I hope everyone enjoys the room for many more years to come.”

Chief executive Suzanne Tracey cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the quiet room.

We hope that this room goes some way to providing a space that supports the health and wellbeing of our doctors.
