Yesterday we held a Patient Experience Framework Workshop, which was organised by Teresa Sturm, patient experience matron, and facilitated by NHS England and NHS Improvement – South West.
This workshop supports organisations to conduct diagnostics of where we are with patients experience and develop a plan for our future vision and improvement.
This event was the very first Patient Experience Framework Workshop in the South West region and was attended by a patient representative, staff and stakeholders. It was really interesting to hear all the different viewpoints come together to talk about patient experience at NDHT.
We had great conversations and debate, and there was a clear desire to improve the patient experience across the patient journey. There was an amazing energy in the room when discussing our understanding of ‘what good looks like’ for patient experience at NDHT, and staff were really passionate about this.
The workshop will help our patient experience matron to develop a new patient experience strategy and plan for improvement. Thank you to the NHS Improvement and NHS England team for facilitating the afternoon and to all those who attended.
