Executive director of strategic development leaves Trust

We recently said goodbye to Andy Ibbs, executive director of strategic development. Andy has taken the decision to step down from his role and leave the NHS to focus on other areas of his life.

Andy has spent most of his career in the South West and has held a number of senior roles across both the commissioning and provider sectors.

Andy is most proud of the initiatives he led at the Trust which have brought agencies together to deliver better care. These include the launch of our domiciliary care service, Devon Cares, and most recently leading One Northern Devon on behalf of the Trust, an innovative project which sees local organisations such as health providers, local authorities, fire, police and the voluntary sector working together to find shared solutions to common problems.

Andy also spent some time as interim chief executive, stepping up to lead the Trust in April 2018 until the collaborative agreement came into place in June 2018.

Suzanne Tracey, chief executive, said: “I’d like to thank Andy for his many years of service since joining the NHS in 1990 and particularly since joining the Trust in 2012.

“Andy led a number of important initiatives during his time at NDHT and I’d like to thank him for his dedication to improving the care we provide to our community. We wish him all the best for the future.”
