Fibre and its many benefits

Why bother with fibre? Besides all the standard stuff like reducing risk of some cancers, helping lower cholesterol and feeding the good bacteria in your gut, fibre can help control your diabetes.

Fibre helps slow down how quickly you get glucose from the food you’ve eaten. This makes it perfect for gradual more steady rises in your blood sugar levels helping to keep your levels in target. If you do decide to increase your fibre intake it is a good idea to do it gradually to let your bowels get used to it!
