THE team at Torrington Hospital held a coffee and cake morning to raise money for the Chemotherapy Appeal and Over and Above, the charity of the Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust.
Domestic assistant Annette Bright and senior healthcare assistant Carol Gibbons put on a fantastic day, raising a total of £162.50 from the sale of coffee and cakes. There was also a raffle and a ‘play your cards right’ game.
Rachel Hooper, matron, said: “Lots of people attended and music and laughter could be heard throughout the hospital.

“Patients were able to enjoy a cuppa and cake before or after their appointments, joined by hospital staff. A great time was had by all!
“A huge thank you to Annette and Carol for organising such a great event and generating the positive vibrancy we know is at the heart of Torrington Hospital.”
The event was held as part of Over and Above’s Big Brew campaign.
