Service description: The service provides diagnosis, assessment, treatment and monitoring of foot, ankle and lower limb pathology to prevent referral to secondary care, as well as group foot health education. Treatment usually comprises non invasive procedures, advanced wound care management, footwear and orthotic interventions, biomechanics and minor surgical procedures under local anaesthetic.
Service locations: The service is provided across Exeter, Mid and East Devon and is delivered from 25 local static
clinics (including community hospitals), nursing and residential homes, patients’ own homes, and 31 mobile sites (using a specialist vehicle.)
