Service Description: North Devon Surgery offers a wide range of surgical services including hernia surgery and ‘lumps and bumps’ to sub-speciality surgery such as major colon and rectal resections. All our services are available on the NHS and some of our surgeons also perform private work based on our private ward ‘Roborough’.
The Northern Devon Healthcare Trust has a full team of specialist surgeons. Our waiting lists are some of the shortest in the England and the Healthcare Commssion’s annual quality surveys regularly rate us as ‘excellent’ for the standards of patient care and treatment.
Specific services include:
- Colorectal surgery
- Gall-bladder surgery
- Hernia surgery
- Piles surgery (also known as haemorrhoids)
The service is supported by a Colorectal Nurse specialist and (when necessary) a stoma care specialist nurse.
