Service description: A multi-disciplinary team of nurses and physiotherapists which assesses and treats a variety of
complex bladder, bowel and pelvic floor complaints. The service also provides education, support and advice to GPs and other healthcare professionals. The service is also responsible for the incontinence pad service for Devon at a cost of around £2 million.
Service locations: The service is provided in Community Hospitals, patients’ own homes, residential nursing and care
homes, and in prisons across Devon. There are three teams: Exeter and East (based in Franklyn Hospital, Exeter);
Teignbridge/Torbay/South Devon Healthcare Trust (based in Newton Abbot Hospital); North Devon (based in Crown
Yealm House, South Molton.)
