The Information Centre for patients, the public and staff is based in the main foyer on Level 2 of the North Devon District Hospital. It stocks written material on a wide variety of health issues, including medical and surgical conditions, healthy lifestyles, benefits and social care.
A computer is available for public use, with links to NHS and other health-related websites, including those of national support groups. Staff can help you find the information you want, and print out material if required.
If the Centre does not have what you need, staff will help you find the information from another source. Information can be made available in other formats, such as large type, or in languages other than English.
The Information Centre is open from 9.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. You can also contact the Centre by phone on 01271 314091
You can also view the linked websites from this page by clicking on the menu at the right hand side. Each heading will take you to a different collection of web sites related to that topic.
If you can’t find the information you are looking for or would like to contact us with a question or request for information please use the contact form, by clicking on the “Contact form” icon at the bottom of the list on the left hand side of this page.
The Patient and Advice and Liaison service (PALS) is also based in the Information Centre. For more information about PALS please click here.
We have a portable induction loop available to help with communication if required.
The development of the Centre has been generously supported by Macmillan Cancer Support and the Trust’s charitable funds.
