Nurses invited to recruitment open day at NDDH

Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust is holding an open day on Wednesday 25 October as part of a campaign to recruit more nurses.

The Trust is looking for experienced and newly-qualified nurses for to join their teams at North Devon District Hospital (NDDH) and community teams.

There are opportunities for experienced nurses looking for a new challenge, those looking to return to practice and students due to qualify from university in the next 12 months.

The event will take place at NDDH from 11am to 4pm. People attending can meet a variety of nursing teams and workforce development staff, and will have a tour of the hospital.

Staff will be on hand to talk about what it is like to work for the Trust, how the Trust values staff and about the many training and development opportunities on offer. Nurses can also find out about how the Trust works across acute and community settings, and have an interview on the day.

Darryn Allcorn, director for nursing, quality and workforce, said: “We are an award-winning organisation with the best staff survey results in the South West. The survey results show that our teams really feel they are able to make a difference, both to patients and to making improvements across the organisation.

“We are looking forward to meeting any nurses or nursing students who think that this sounds like a place they would like to work, whether they’re looking to relocate or are just starting their career in nursing.”

Anyone who is interested in being interviewed on the day can fast-track their application by completing the online application form in advance.
